First, a banner, if you should want to link to FF101. I appreciate all links (text and otherwise) and would love to get the word out. Feel free to simply copy/paste the HTML below into your links list (or upload the banner to your own server, if you so choose!)

Bad fanfiction made me blind in one eye.

As for the links themselves, these are primarily sites related to writing aid; however, a list of Newsies links can be found here.

Sites to Post Fanfic

* Fanfiction.net — You've probably been here, and more than likely have an account here. I just thought I'd point it out...

* Fandomination.net — another large, multi-fandom archive, akin to FFnet. If you're frustrated with FFnet's rules, this is one of many alternatives.

* Ficwad.com — Another alternate to FFnet; it's designed to encourage people to give constructive criticsm.

* NFiction — Another alternate to FFnet; there aren't a lot of fics there yet, but it allows songfics and NC-17 ratings.

* The Refuge — An all-slash Newsies archive.

Online Newsies Resources

* No. 9 Duane Street — A site with a whole lot of highly researched info on historical lodging houses.

* The Newsies Information Center — A site with information about the historical strike and NYC.

* The Banner — An online writing zine, dedicated to the Newsies fandom.

* Newsies Newsies Fan Fiction Help — A brand new yahoo!group, for those seeking aid in their writing.

* The Newsies Beta Project — Need a beta, find a beta.

* The Newsies Mary Sue Litmus Test — If you're even vaguely concerned your OC is a Mary Sue, run her through here and find out for sure. Be cruel, if you must.

Newsies Fic Inspiration

* NewsieChallenge — A yahoo!group designed to give out challenges and inspiration to writers.

* Newsies100 — A LiveJournal community which gives out weekly challenges for writing 100-word fics.

* Newsies Drabbles — Another drabble/ficlet challenge site.

* Newsies Fanfiction Reviews — A place to go to get your stories reviewed thoroughly.

* Newsies_Plugs — A LiveJournal community wherein one can plug one's stories.

General Resources

* Pirates Don't Need Grammar — A site with writing advice and tips, with a fair amount of snark. It's definitely worth a read through.

* imdb.com — An amazing resource page for any movie.

* Dictionary.com — Did I mention that you should spellcheck your stories yet? You ought to.

* How To Write Marginally Readable Fanfiction — I highly recommend the Hall of Shame.

* The Fanfic Symposium — Lots of essays and rants about fanfiction.

See something I've missed? Let me know!

And now, again, to plug a bit. I'd love it if you'd link to me. Feel free to drop the URL to people who want help with anything, if you think it'll help them; or just... link me. It makes me feel special.
